Robert Kraft

Robert Kraft is a successful businessman and the owner of the New England Patriots, one of the most successful National Football League franchises. He became a billionaire after purchasing the team in 1994. His estimated net worth is $8.1 billion as of 2015.

The Kraft Group

The Kraft Group is a diversified holding company with assets in paper and packaging, sports and entertainment, real estate development, and a private equity portfolio. Robert Kraft founded the company in 1982 to acquire International Forest Products, a paper, and packaging company. In 1988 The Kraft Group acquired additional paper mills from Packaging Corporation of America.

Philanthropic

Robert Kraft has been involved in a number of community and philanthropic endeavors. Since 1994, he has served as chairman of The Kraft Group LLC. He also sits on the boards of directors for several companies, including General Electric Company’s NBC Universal Media LLC and Boston Children’s Hospital.

Kraft first became involved in community service when he joined forces with former teammates at MIT Sloan School of Management to start an educational program called Business Plan Challenge.

New England Patriots

Kraft has been the New England Patriots owner since 1994, and his son Jonathan is an executive vice president. Since Robert Kraft bought the team in 1994, they have won six Super Bowls (2001, 2003, 2004, 2014, 2016, and 2018). The Patriots also have the most overall wins, with 765 victories since their inception in 1960. The Kraft Group owns the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer and is also a partner in the new North American Premier League.

Major League Soccer

The Major League Soccer is a soccer league in North America consisting of 23 clubs. It is the largest professional soccer league in the world, and its headquarters are located in New York City. The MLS was founded in 1993 and held its first season in 1996.

National Football League

Robert is the chairman of the board of the New England Patriots. He is also a member of the National Football league’s finance committee, which oversees league revenue. Kraft is a member of the National Football league international committee and founded his charitable organization that focuses on youth mentorship programs and social justice issues.
