London-based entrepreneur, Sudhir Choudhrie was born in India in September 1949. Young businessman was brought up by his mother after the early death of his father. Despite having a rough childhood, he has recorded great academic and financial success. He enrolled in the University of Delhi to garner a breadth of knowledge in Economics. On completion of his studies, he started his own business instead of joining his grandfather’s business.
The businessman began exporting television equipment to India from the UK. This export served to develop India’s expanding television network back then. The growth of his business was characterized by exporting various consumer goods, including farm machinery. During the early stages of his investment, his sole focus was on the Soviet Union. This union was back then India’s biggest partner in trade.
Moreover, Sudhir Choudhrie flaunts partnering up with Taj Hotels and Adidas to build four resorts in India, resulting in huge success. Moreover, this partnership resulted in the setting up 180 Adidas plants in his home country, India. His entrepreneurial and management skills have been useful to companies he has chaired, as the Alpha C & C Group. The Alpha C&C Group serves as a holding company for various forms of investment.
As a successful business entrepreneur, Sudhir Choudhrie gives back to society through several philanthropic activities. Together with his wife, he has founded the Path to Success charity. The organization brings forth financial assistance to individuals with disabilities in London and worldwide. It also provides educational opportunities to kids from poor backgrounds. His family foundation also supports medical research on cardiovascular diseases. Apart from Sudhir Choudhrie involvement in business, he also has a great interest in art. Sure, his Art foundation has paved the way for Asian artists to practice their art globally in the UK and the US.
